UNESCO and Nestlé have signed a partnership aimed at funding 100 initiatives led by young people in favor of sustainable development around the world. This collaboration will mobilize 1.7 million dollars to support projects spread across five major regions: Africa, the Arab world, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

A global support system for young entrepreneurs in sustainable development

This program will offer young project leaders:

✔ Funding grants for innovations in climate change adaptation, sustainable food systems, and eco-friendly packaging.
✔ Specialized training to enhance the skills of beneficiaries.
✔ Mentorship programs provided by industry experts.
✔ Networking with other stakeholders in sustainable development.

UNESCO estimates that this initiative will directly or indirectly impact 500,000 people, enabling them to develop innovative solutions to environmental and social challenges.

This alliance builds on a pilot project launched between 2023 and 2024 in 12 Latin American countries, which benefited over 130,000 people through an investment of 500,000 dollars. Building on this success, UNESCO continues its commitment to empowering young people by providing them with tools and networks to enhance their impact on a global scale.
