The REACT forum returns on May 14, 2025, at the Ritz-Carlton in Rabat with a new direction: supporting the decarbonization of the Moroccan industry through innovation. After addressing sustainable mobility in its first edition, the event now focuses on another essential pillar of the ecological transition: the industrial sector.
Organized under the auspices of the ministries responsible for industry, energy transition, and scientific research, REACT is fully aligned with the dynamic initiated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in favor of sustainable, sovereign, and innovative development. It also contributes to the ambitious goals of the National Sustainable Development Strategy, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 45.5% by 2030 and to increase renewable energies to 52% of the national electricity mix.
In an increasingly demanding global environment in terms of environmental and commercial standards, Morocco must maintain its competitiveness, strengthen its energy autonomy, and accelerate its transition to a decarbonized economy. The industry, which represents nearly a quarter of GDP and 20% of national CO₂ emissions, is a strategic priority in this approach.
REACT aims to bring together all stakeholders in the ecosystem—companies, institutions, researchers, startups, and investors—to collaboratively identify low-carbon, circular, and innovative industrial solutions. The forum will address key themes such as regulation, financing tools, concrete decarbonization initiatives, and the development of the carbon market. The latter represents a major opportunity: it could generate several hundred million dirhams for Moroccan companies committed to reducing their emissions.
This meeting is supported by H2O Hub, an organization dedicated to sustainable innovation. In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), REACT aims to connect ideas, expertise, and energies in service of an industry resolutely focused on the future.
