Global company Bayer organized a roundtable gathering female journalists, opinion leaders, and company employees to celebrate National Moroccan Women’s Day, aimed at highlighting women’s achievements.
The event showcased the inspiring journeys of women shaping the future of agriculture and health in Morocco, reaffirming Bayer’s commitment to gender equity and female leadership, the company stated in a press release.
The meeting began with remarks from Amina L’Kima, General Director of Bayer SA Morocco and Commercial Director for Crop Science in North Africa, who shared her experiences as a female leader and her vision of women’s roles in scientific and agricultural sectors.
“At Bayer, we deeply believe that female leadership is a transformative force. It’s not just about representation, but about diversity of thought, sensitivity, and vision,” Ms. L’Kima said.
“As a female leader, I am convinced that every journey, every voice matters, and that by creating spaces for listening and dialogue, like Bayer Table Talks, we drive progress,” she emphasized, noting that female leadership also involves the art of balancing ambition and authenticity, performance and humanity.
She added, “At Bayer, we value this richness every day, here in Morocco and elsewhere in the world, through concrete initiatives that place women at the heart of our commitment.”
“Whether it’s about improving access to healthcare, supporting education, or building sustainable partnerships, we believe that empowering women is essential for creating a more equitable and resilient future,” she affirmed.
The event also served as an opportunity to discuss Bayer’s approach to women’s empowerment, the release stated, noting that Bayer aims to foster a corporate culture where women can fully contribute, be heard, and thrive in a respectful and inclusive environment. Women’s health, in particular, remains a priority area with ongoing efforts to raise awareness, support, and address specific needs related to their well-being.
“These commitments are built gradually, obviously linked to local realities,” Ms. L’Kima added.
Additionally, the roundtable brought together several female employees from various Bayer divisions. Through their testimonies, they shared their journeys, challenges faced, and successes achieved, providing an authentic glimpse into the diversity of experiences and the richness of female talent within the company.
“This initiative reflects our desire to create an inclusive and inspiring environment,” emphasized Hajar Dinar, Country Communications Lead for Bayer in North Africa.
“We are proud to have gathered influential women from the media and Bayer to exchange ideas, learn, and support one another,” she said, noting that “this meeting, rich in emotions and interactions, perfectly illustrates our commitment to developing female leadership.”
