The Popular Bank Foundation has completed the installation of solar water heaters at Dar Taliba Ouled Nouel, located in Khenichet, in the province of Sidi Kacem, as part of its program to improve the living conditions of students in boarding schools.

This operation is part of a program launched in 2018, aimed at providing Dour Tollab with solar hot water systems to ensure better living conditions for residents, particularly during the winter months. Gradually deployed nationwide, this initiative has equipped 36 institutions between 2018 and 2024, benefiting 3,025 students.

In 2025, the Foundation expanded this initiative to nine new Dour Tollab in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, spread across the provinces of Sidi Kacem, Khémisset, and Kénitra. This new phase affected 522 additional residents, bringing the total number of equipped institutions to 45 since the program’s inception.

Through this initiative, the Popular Bank Foundation continues its efforts to promote equal opportunities, support education, and combat school dropout, focusing on sustainable solutions aimed at improving the living conditions of students from modest backgrounds.
