This change in energy product imports is mainly due to a 4.9% decrease in supplies of “gas oils and fuel oils” under the effect of prices falling by 12.4%, despite an increase in imported quantities of +8.6%, explains the Office in its recent monthly indicators bulletin on foreign trade.
The decrease in the energy bill is also attributed to a 20.1% decline in imports of “petroleum oils and lubricants” to 1.48 MMDH, notes the same source.
According to the said bulletin, total goods imports increased by 7.4% over the year, reaching 124.20 MMDH.
