Morocco is a model and a leading player in sustainability and environmental protection, writes the Spanish magazine “Parada Visual.”

Thanks to its innovative initiatives promoting renewable energies, sustainable agriculture, and responsible tourism, Morocco has established itself as a leader in environmental protection, the magazine emphasizes in an article titled “Morocco and Sustainable Development: A Commitment to the Environment.”

By prioritizing the development of clean energies in its environmental strategy, Morocco has become a continental reference through large-scale projects such as the Noor Ouarzazate solar complex, a symbol of its resolute commitment to reducing its carbon footprint, adds the magazine.

In the field of agriculture, a pillar of the Moroccan economy, the Kingdom has integrated and encouraged the adoption of sustainable practices aimed at preserving natural resources and ensuring food security, the publication notes.

The efficiency of irrigation, the use of organic fertilizers, and the diversification of crops are measures adopted to limit the environmental impacts of the sector, the same source specifies.

“Parada Visual” notes that Morocco has also adopted an integrated management of its water resources, multiplying efforts to optimize water use, promote wastewater recycling, and protect its aquatic ecosystems.

In the tourism sector, Morocco promotes a sustainability-focused approach, the publication observes, highlighting ecotourism projects that encourage environmentally friendly tourism while preserving and enhancing the country’s natural and cultural heritage.

The actions undertaken by Morocco in the field of the environment demonstrate the Kingdom’s determination to successfully transition to sustainable development, assures the magazine, stating that the Kingdom embodies an exemplary and inspiring vision of a greener future for the region.
