L’Oréal Morocco, in partnership with Beauty Success, has launched the country’s first national initiative for recycling perfume bottles. This collaboration aims to promote responsible consumption and encourage Moroccans to adopt refillable solutions as part of the “Join The Refill Movement.”

The initiative is part of the “L’Oréal For The Future” program, launched in 2020, which places sustainability at the heart of the group’s strategy. The goal is to reduce the use of virgin plastic by 50%, integrate 50% recycled or bio-sourced materials into packaging, and decrease packaging intensity by 20%. Specifically, refillable bottles can save up to 44% glass, 67% plastic, 100% metals, and 61% cardboard, all while maintaining the quality and prestige of the products.

Beauty Success is committed, through its network of perfume stores, to collecting used bottles and raising consumer awareness about recycling. The initiative includes fragrances from L’Oréal Luxe brands, such as Yves Saint Laurent, Lancôme, Giorgio Armani, Prada, and Valentino, and also extends to skincare and haircare products from brands like La Roche-Posay, CeraVe, Vichy, Kérastase, and L’Oréal Professionnel.

According to Laila Benjelloun, General Director of L’Oréal Morocco, “the transition towards more sustainable beauty is built through the collective action of the entire ecosystem.” Fatima Zohra Loudghiri, General Director of Beauty Success, emphasizes that “recycling bottles has become a simple and civic gesture, transforming an environmental constraint into responsible action.”

This initiative marks a key step towards circularity in the cosmetic industry in Morocco, combining innovation, partner engagement, and consumer awareness of more sustainable practices.
