A new solution aimed at reducing plastic use in the hospitality and restaurant sectors has arrived in Morocco. The French brand Castalie, specializing in premium microfiltered water, is establishing itself in the Kingdom through a partnership with the Moroccan company Pure Water Solutions (PWS).

Already adopted by several establishments in Europe, this offering is beginning to attract stakeholders in Morocco seeking solutions that combine quality service with less environmental impact.

### A Model Based on Plastic Reduction

Founded in 2011, Castalie offers an alternative to single-use plastic bottles. The concept relies on fountains connected to the water supply, capable of producing microfiltered still or sparkling water on-site, served in reusable glass bottles.

This model eliminates the constraints associated with transportation, storage, and plastic waste management while maintaining a service level that meets high-end hospitality standards.

According to data provided by the company, this system could significantly reduce the carbon footprint compared to using individual bottles.

### A Local Initiative

The introduction of Castalie in Morocco is the result of an initiative led by Pure Water Solutions, which has exclusive distribution rights for the brand.

This partnership is based on a shared conviction: to support a rapidly growing hospitality sector towards more sustainable solutions without compromising customer experience quality.

Initial market feedback indicates a strong interest from establishments facing increasing environmental demands alongside high service standards.

### Major Environmental Challenge

This initiative comes at a time when managing plastic waste poses a significant challenge. Morocco generates substantial amounts of plastic waste each year, a portion of which ends up in the environment.

In this context, reducing single-use plastics has become a central issue, especially for high-consumption sectors like hospitality and catering.

### A Fundamental Trend in the Sector

Beyond a simple commercial launch, the arrival of this type of solution is part of a broader shift in practices within the hospitality sector.

Establishments are increasingly encouraged to integrate sustainable solutions, both to meet customer expectations and to align with environmental responsibility policies.

With this introduction, the Moroccan market opens up to new alternatives, illustrating a gradual transition towards more responsible consumption models.
