An international consortium composed of TE H2, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, and A.P. Møller Capital has launched an ambitious green hydrogen project in Morocco. Located in the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, this project plans to build 1 GW of solar and wind capacity. The goal is to produce 200,000 tons of green ammonia annually, primarily intended for the European market.
This initiative represents a significant step in a program aimed at positioning Morocco as a key player in the energy transition. The country indeed benefits from exceptional renewable resources and strategic proximity to Europe, thereby strengthening its ambitions in the renewable energy sector.
