In Nairobi, the OCP Group actively participated in ANUE-7, putting science and innovation at the service of climate resilience and sustainable agriculture. Its interventions covered soil and water management, nutrient governance, and climate change adaptation, with a particular focus on Africa and the Global South.
On the ground, over 50 million hectares have been analyzed and four million smallholders benefit from support programs to adopt climate-friendly agricultural practices that promote biodiversity. Access to carbon markets has already been opened on nearly 170,000 hectares.
The OCP Group also presented its industrial commitments: 100% of its water needs covered by unconventional sources, a goal of 100% clean energy by 2027, development of green hydrogen and ammonia, and carbon neutrality expected by 2040. The inclusive dimension remains central, integrating youth, women, and vulnerable communities into all initiatives.
During a parallel event, the role of soils as the foundation for climate adaptation was highlighted, as well as the importance of nutritional solutions and land restoration. The Moroccan model, combining integrated management of land, water, and nutrients through ambitious national strategies, was presented as a regional reference for sustainable and resilient agriculture.
