A new agreement strengthens cooperation between Morocco and Brazil in the agricultural sector. The Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), under the supervision of the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, signed a strategic partnership on Monday with OCP Group, OCP Fertilizers, OCP Nutricrops, and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University during an official visit to Morocco.
### A partnership for agricultural innovation
This ambitious agreement aims to share advanced agricultural technologies, train researchers, and promote sustainable agriculture. It includes:
– The development of more efficient fertilizers tailored to the needs of soils and crops.
– The integration of digital technologies for more effective agriculture.
– The improvement of crop nutrition for optimized yields.
– A strengthening of academic collaboration between the two countries.
The signing took place at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Ben Guerir, in the presence of several personalities, including Silvia Massruhá, president of Embrapa, and Roberto Rodrigues, former Brazilian Minister of Agriculture and consultant for OCP.

“This initiative will promote an exchange of knowledge and innovative solutions to future agricultural challenges, both in Morocco and Brazil,” said Silvia Massruhá, who led the Brazilian delegation.
For his part, Marcos Stelzer, CEO of OCP Fertilizers, emphasized the importance of this alliance:
“By combining our expertise with Embrapa’s knowledge, we will help farmers improve their yields and ensure a more resilient and sustainable future.”
Embrapa’s visit to Morocco will continue until February 26, with a program that includes visits to experimental farms, workshops, and meetings with OCP experts.
