The General Confederation of Enterprises of Morocco (CGEM) recently organized a ceremony in Casablanca to award certificates to the 15 graduates of the 5th class of its Social Academy, reaffirming its commitment to social dialogue in Morocco.

The ceremony, which took place in the presence of the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Enterprises, Employment, and Skills, Younes Sekkouri, and the General Vice-President of the CGEM, Mehdi Tazi, also saw the participation of the President of the Social Commission of the CGEM, Hicham Zouanat, the President of the National Association of Human Resources Managers and Trainers (AGEF), Bouchra Nhaili, as well as union representatives from CDT and UGTM, according to a statement from the Confederation.

The new graduates successfully completed the “Master in Social Relations Management” program, designed to equip human resources managers with practical and strategic tools in social mediation, negotiation, and labor law, the same source adds.

Since its launch in 2019, the CGEM Social Academy has achieved remarkable results, training over 100 HR professionals, including 42 women, impacting more than 60 companies active in 18 sectors.

These organizations employ a total of over 50,000 employees and have benefited from more than 700 hours of training provided in partnership with experts from the private sector, academia, unions, and labor inspection.

As part of its strengthened social commitment, the CGEM joined the Global Coalition for Social Justice in 2024, an initiative of the International Labour Organization (ILO), thus marking its intention to advance social rights, reduce inequalities, and promote sustainable human development.

The Social Academy continuously expands its training offerings, including a new program focused on the importance of productivity and the consolidation of social peace through the establishment of collective agreements, while also offering tailored training adapted to the sectoral specificities and strategic needs of Moroccan companies.
