The Oriental region will host, from June 30 to July 10, 2025, the third edition of the Theater Caravan initiated by the Fondation Banque Populaire (FBP), in partnership with Attawfiq Micro-Finance. This itinerant cultural operation aims to bring theater closer to rural populations, often deprived of access to artistic offerings.

On the program, the play “Sarah Masjounak”, performed by the Théâtre Tensift troupe, featuring renowned actors such as Nora Skali, Samia Akariou, Mohammed El Ouaradi, Adil Abatorab, and Abdellah Didane. The performances will take place outdoors, free of charge, at 9 PM, in ten municipalities of the region: Driouch, Arekmane, Zaïo, Beni Drar, Touissite, Tafoughalt, Guenfouda, El Aïoun Sidi Mellouk, Jerada, and Ain Béni Mathar.

Through this initiative, the Fondation Banque Populaire reaffirms its citizen and cultural vocation, by supporting artistic creation and contributing to the social animation of remote territories. By bringing live performances to the heart of rural municipalities, it aims to make theater a tool for social connection and awareness.

Active since 1984, the Fondation Banque Populaire is one of the first to be recognized as being of public utility in Morocco. Committed to education, culture, and sustainable development, it multiplies projects with a strong human and territorial dimension.

Partnering in this caravan, Attawfiq Micro-Finance, a subsidiary of the BCP group, has been working since 2000 for the financial inclusion of vulnerable populations and the support of very small enterprises, thus contributing to economic empowerment and the fight against precariousness.
