The 5th edition of the “Morocco Tomato Conference,” an event dedicated to enhancing the tomato sector, will be held on May 21 in Agadir.

This meeting aims to explore the innovations in the tomato sector regarding sustainability, resistant varieties, and smart agriculture, according to a statement from the organizers.

It also seeks to facilitate networking among producers, industry players, suppliers, and researchers in Morocco, Africa, and internationally.

This conference is organized by “Green Smile,” under the auspices of the Interprofessional Federation of Fruits and Vegetables, and in coordination with the Souss-Massa Agricultural Chamber, the Moroccan Association of Exporting Producers of Fruits and Vegetables (APEFEL), and the Chtouka Association of Agricultural Producers (ACPA).

It should be noted that since its creation in 2009, the “Morocco Tomato Conference” has been one of the first national platforms dedicated to the tomato sector.

After three editions between 2009 and 2011, gathering nearly 1,000 participants and global experts, “Green Smile” focused its strategy on developing agribusiness training programs, particularly on soilless cultivation and optimizing agricultural inputs between 2012 and 2023.
