The Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the OCP Foundation, and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University signed a partnership agreement on January 21 to enhance cooperation between public institutions and the scientific and technological ecosystem of the OCP group.
This agreement aligns with the Royal High Directions and the national agricultural strategy “Generation Green 2020-2030.” It aims to support the transformation of the Moroccan agricultural sector by leveraging scientific research, technological innovation, and skills development to address the economic, social, and environmental challenges facing agriculture.
The partnership seeks to establish sustainable collaboration between public administrations and research and training stakeholders by mobilizing the expertise of the OCP Foundation and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. It specifically includes enhancing scientific capacities, promoting applied research, and supporting innovative solutions aimed at improving the sustainability and resilience of agricultural systems.
Through this initiative, the signatories intend to promote the emergence of more efficient agricultural practices better suited to climate, water, and economic constraints while contributing to the skills development of human resources in the sector. Consequently, the agreement is part of a long-term approach aimed at strengthening the agricultural sovereignty of the Kingdom and supporting a more inclusive and sustainable agriculture.
