Sun Pharma strengthens its commitment to public health by organizing a caravan in Casablanca dedicated to screening for diabetes complications. The initiative is carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Support Association for Endocrinology-Diabetology Service of Casablanca (ASSED-Casa), and the Association of Diabetic Patients and Chronic Diseases of Casablanca-Anfa (ADICA). The operation is taking place at the Derb Ghallef socio-educational club.

For Sun Pharma, the goal is clear: to facilitate access to screening and provide structured support for diabetic patients. Dr. Tahri Ghizlane, Medical Manager of the laboratory, emphasizes that this action aims to make follow-up more accessible and encourage a more rigorous daily management. The caravan primarily targets individuals at risk of cardiovascular, renal, liver, or ophthalmological complications due to insufficient monitoring. In total, around 200 patients have received care and benefited from a complete assessment as well as personalized support.

Participants had access to a series of medical examinations, including blood glucose, lipid profile, complete blood count, and tests assessing renal and liver functions. These analyses provide a solid foundation for doctors to establish an accurate diagnosis. Nine endocrinologists from the University Hospital of Casablanca were mobilized to receive patients, tailor their management, and provide personalized recommendations. The day was marked by welcoming participants, delivering results, therapeutic education sessions, blood pressure measurements, and specialized consultations. The event concluded with the free distribution of blood glucose meters, accompanied by advice to facilitate self-monitoring.

Through this operation, Sun Pharma and its partners reinforce their commitment to better therapeutic education and integrated diabetes management. The company thus helps bring healthcare closer to populations and improve the quality of life for individuals with chronic diseases. In light of the rising prevalence of diabetes in Morocco, this initiative aligns with a proactive approach to prevention, early detection, and sustainable awareness based on closeness and solidarity.

Sun Pharma, present in over a hundred countries, is among the global leaders in the pharmaceutical sector. Established in Morocco since 2012, the laboratory has become one of the most dynamic players in the market, with around fifty brands covering various therapeutic areas. Its production unit in Casablanca also plays a key role in the national HIV/AIDS treatment program by supplying antiretrovirals to the Ministry of Health. Internationally, the company relies on a network of 40 manufacturing sites and numerous R&D centers, affirming its ongoing commitment to innovation and improving access to healthcare.
