The manufacturer is taking a new step in reliability and cost-effectiveness, becoming the first player in the Moroccan market to extend the maintenance interval for its hybrid vehicles.

Stellantis, the leader in hybrid mobility in Morocco, has announced an unprecedented measure: extending the maintenance interval from 10,000 to 15,000 km for all its hybrid models. This change, effective from November 1, 2025, marks a turning point for the Moroccan automotive market, both technologically and in terms of customer comfort.

Presented in Casablanca, this initiative reflects the group’s confidence in the robustness of its hybrid engines and responds to a growing demand from drivers for vehicles that are more reliable, economical, and practical. It will also apply retroactively to vehicles that have already been sold equipped with the 1.2 EB2 Generation 3 engine.

“By extending the maintenance interval to 15,000 km, we are sending a clear message to our customers: we trust our technologies and are committed to providing tangible benefits to their daily lives,” said Yves Peyrot des Gachons, General Director of Stellantis Morocco. “This decision reinforces our commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s energy transition and enhancing the competitiveness of our offerings.”

With this measure, Stellantis becomes the first automobile manufacturer in Morocco to adopt such a standard. It aligns with the group’s ongoing strategy of innovation and sustainability, committed to making hybrid mobility a lever for transforming the national vehicle fleet, in the context of declining diesel use and the rise of low-emission engines.

The group’s MHEV (mild hybrid electric vehicle) engines are based on proven global expertise, adapted to local climatic and driving conditions. They offer improved performance while reducing fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions, without requiring external charging—a decisive advantage for Moroccan drivers seeking sustainable mobility without usage constraints.

This extension of the maintenance interval translates into significant economic and practical benefits:

    – An average of 30% savings on maintenance costs over a cycle of 105,000 km,
    – Fewer workshop visits, reducing time and logistical constraints,
    – Better residual value for vehicles in the used market,
    – And increased peace of mind for drivers.

All brands under the Stellantis group are affected, including Peugeot (208, 2008, 408, 3008, 5008), Citroën (C3 Aircross, C4, C4X), DS Automobiles (DS 7), Fiat (600), Jeep (Avenger), Opel (Frontera, Grandland), and Alfa Romeo (Junior). This diversity reflects the depth of the manufacturer’s hybrid portfolio and its ambition to democratize electrified mobility for all driver profiles.
