The International Agricultural Show of Meknès (SIAM) 2025 this year highlights the central role played by women’s cooperatives, supported by the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), in the economic and social inclusion of rural women.

Since its launch in 2005 by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, the INDH has established itself as a key player in promoting women’s economic empowerment in rural areas. Through its support for income-generating projects, the Initiative has enabled many cooperatives to emerge, thereby consolidating a model of inclusive, structured, and sustainable development.

Present at SIAM, these cooperatives showcase the diversity and richness of Moroccan heritage through local products such as honey, argan oil, medicinal and aromatic plants, and various types of couscous. This valuable visibility offers exhibitors a platform to conquer new markets, share their experiences, and forge partnerships with national and international economic operators.

Beyond the exhibition, participation in SIAM 2025 illustrates the dynamic initiated by the INDH, which continues to transform local ideas into value-generating projects. Supporting these women’s initiatives remains a priority for the INDH, determined to enhance their economic impact and contribute to sustainable and inclusive local development.
