The kickoff of the 2nd Arab Conference on Renewable and Sustainable Energies was held on Saturday in Cairo, with the ambition of finding innovative solutions to climate and environmental challenges in the Arab world.

Organized by the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate in partnership with the Arab Engineers Union, this two-day conference will bring together academics, researchers, and experts to exchange ideas on the latest technologies in renewable energies and promote Arab cooperation through strengthening partnerships among the countries in the region.

This meeting also aims to promote sustainable policies, discuss legislation aimed at supporting the adoption of renewable energies and reducing carbon emissions, as well as raise awareness among the public and Arab institutions about the importance of transitioning to clean and sustainable energies that can contribute to environmental protection.

Speaking at the opening of this conference, the Secretary General of the Arab Engineers Union, Adil Al Hadithi, emphasized the importance of cooperation among Arab countries in the field of renewable energies, particularly in light of the environmental and economic challenges facing the region.

This conference, he said, represents an opportunity to exchange views in order to contribute to mitigating the effects of climate change, accelerating the energy transition, and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
