As part of its program “A Banque Populaire branch, an isolated school upgraded,” the Banque Populaire Foundation has renovated four public schools located in the Nador-Al Hoceima region. This initiative stems from a partnership agreement between the Banque Populaire Foundation and the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports of Driouch. It has allowed for the upgrading of the schools of Maourou, Alouana, Tikarmine, and Lagdira, which now provide a more conducive learning environment for over 150 students and their teachers. The project involved the complete rehabilitation of the infrastructure, including the repair of ceilings, waterproofing, painting, renovation of the electrical installation, and modernization of the sanitary facilities. Additionally, the Lagdira school benefited from the construction of housing for teachers due to its geographical isolation. Launched in 2015, the project “A Banque Populaire branch, an isolated school upgraded” aims to improve the learning and working conditions of students and teachers through collaboration between the Foundation and the network of Regional Popular Banks. It has modernized 17 schools, accommodating more than 2,600 students, in the regions of Oriental, Béni-Mellal-Khénifra, Tangier-Tetouan, Marrakech-Safi, Fès-Meknès, Souss-Massa, and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra.

Through this socially impactful initiative, the BCP group continues its values of citizenship and proximity, actively working for the education of children in the isolated regions of the Kingdom.
