A few days after being ranked as the 2nd best French management school in the global THE IMPACT 2024 ranking, Excelia Business School has once again been recognized for its actions in favor of ecological and social transition, this time in the global Positive Impact Rating for business schools (PIR): it reinforces its membership in the Top 50 worldwide of the most committed management schools and renews its ranking at the demanding level 4 out of 5 “Transforming Schools,” the highest performance achieved by European schools. Only 5 French management schools reach this level.

For the 2nd consecutive year, at the excellence level 4 out of 5 “Transforming Schools,” Excelia Business School’s strong commitment to ecological and social transition has once again been rewarded in the 2024 edition of the Positive Impact Rating for business schools (PIR). Ranked for the second consecutive year, the school continues to position itself at the excellence level 4 out of 5: “Transforming Schools,” the highest level reached by European schools. Only 5 French management schools manage to reach level 4 among the 8 French business schools present in the Positive Impact Rating. Excelia Business School thus consolidates its place in the Top 50 worldwide of the most committed institutions, even as the Positive Impact Rating has taken into account 32 additional schools in its evaluation.

The items on which Excelia Business School’s performance is highlighted: Like last year, Excelia Business School achieves an overall score above the average of all schools at level 4 “Transforming School,” and the Positive Impact Rating report highlights several strengths that characterize its actions:
    – Its governance: its vision of societal engagement and the fact that CSR is the driving force of the school.
    – From the perspective of Excelia Business School’s programs, the integration of ethics and CSR into its programs, the participation of social actors in the learning experience, and its ability to develop the skills that form responsible leaders are emphasized.
    – Finally, Excelia Business School’s public commitment is also highlighted, particularly the reality of its CSR commitment, whether it concerns the values upheld by its members or its recognition by its stakeholders.

An evaluation based on the voice of students: The Positive Impact Rating is based on the opinions of students who evaluate their school’s commitment to sustainable development. Within Excelia Business School, it is the student association Oxygen that conducted the survey and submitted the Positive Impact Rating questions to the students. Business schools are ranked according to 5 different levels:
    – Level 1 Beginning Schools: schools whose commitment is at the starting stage.
    – Level 2 Emerging Schools: schools that have a commitment in one or more areas of impact.
    – Level 3 Progressing Schools: schools that provide evidence of results in certain dimensions of the expected impact.
    – Level 4 Transforming Schools: schools that demonstrate a culture of positive impact integrated into their governance and all their modes of action, and demonstrate concrete impact results in many dimensions.
    – Level 5 Pioneering Schools: schools with a unique progression of sustainable leadership in all dimensions of impact.

The Positive Impact Rating aims to be a driving tool for the transformation of all business schools worldwide; only schools ranked at levels 3, 4, and 5, and thus capable of serving as examples, are referenced in the overall evaluation report.
