On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, in Fqih Bensalah, Mohammed Saad Berrada, Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, and Hassan Ouriagli, President of the Al Mada Foundation, officially signed a partnership agreement. This collaboration aims to expand access to digital technologies in rural schools through the project “Classes Connectées Dir iddik.”
This agreement is part of a joint effort to make digital technology a lever for excellence and strengthening the national education system. The ceremony took place in the presence of several dignitaries, including Mohamed Benribarg, Wali of the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region, Azdine El Mountassir Billah, CEO of inwi, and Imad Toumi, CEO of Managem. It symbolizes a major advancement in the deployment of this collective initiative driven by corporate social responsibility (CSR).
During a visit to the Ouled Abdoun school, the partners announced the launch of the second phase of the project. This phase aims to provide students in rural schools with new skills through digital tools, for an innovative education adapted to current challenges, while expanding the number of beneficiaries.
The Al Mada Foundation, in close cooperation with the Ministry, aims to equip more than 100 rural primary schools in the 12 regions of Morocco, thus reaching over 30,000 students by 2026. In addition to providing equipment and enhanced connectivity, this phase also includes training for students and teachers. The “Caravane Coding for All” program, developed by the Ministry, offers coding, robotics, and artificial intelligence introductory sessions for teachers, so they can lead innovative educational workshops for students.
Furthermore, the Injaz Al Maghrib association will intervene to train students in concepts of local economy, business management, and budgeting, thus preparing youth to better understand and participate in the modern economy.
For reference, the first phase of the project, launched in March 2024 thanks to the Al Mada Foundation with the support of inwi, Managem, Nareva, and their partners, has already equipped 30 classrooms in several regions, including Casablanca-Settat, Béni Mellal-Khénifra, Guelmim-Oued Noun, Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, Draa-Tafilalet, and Marrakech-Safi. More than 12,200 students have benefited from this first phase, which has demonstrated the positive impact of digital technology on improving learning conditions and the quality of education.
