The 5th edition of the World Power-to-X Summit commenced on Wednesday in Marrakech, featuring the participation of government officials, strategic political decision-makers, pioneering innovators, and academic thought leaders.

Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the World Power-to-X Summit aims to foster collaboration, creativity, and exchange in the field of green hydrogen, while addressing ways to accelerate the global energy transition.

Organized by the Moroccan Institute for Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN), under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, and in partnership with the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (Masen), Cluster Green H2, and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), this event serves as a dynamic platform for interregional cooperation, high-value investments, and forward-looking innovation.

The World Power-to-X Summit also seeks to establish itself as a major international hub that will promote Morocco’s offerings in green hydrogen, explore flagship projects in this field, and highlight the country’s role as a key global energy center.

Moreover, this significant conclave represents a privileged space for reflection and an ideal opportunity to launch initiatives and joint projects, while shedding light on the latest innovations in green hydrogen and “Power-to-X” technologies.

It also presents an opportunity to reach agreements on green hydrogen, explore and leverage financial mechanisms to mobilize capital, attract funding, and accelerate the deployment of “Power-to-X.”

The interactive sessions scheduled during this meeting will help identify essential needs in port infrastructure, pipelines, storage, and logistics to accelerate international trade in green hydrogen, initiate strategic partnerships in infrastructure, and discuss groundbreaking advances in “Power-to-X” to develop sustainable energy solutions.
