Morocco takes a key step in its energy transition with the official approval of the country’s first Energy Service Company (ESCO): INEE (Innovative Energy & Efficiency), a subsidiary of the CDG Group. This recognition, granted by the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, is part of the new decree n°2-24-153 implementing Law n°47-09 on energy efficiency.

This labeling gives INEE a unique legitimacy to lead energy efficiency projects through Energy Performance Contracts (CPE). These contracts are based on a partnership logic in which the company commits to results in terms of consumption reduction, thus providing a double guarantee: technical and economic. INEE handles the entire process, from engineering to operation, integrating measurable and sustainable support for its clients.

By positioning itself at the forefront of the new Moroccan legal framework, INEE aims to play a structuring role in the national energy efficiency ecosystem. Its intervention aims to energize sustainable projects while contributing to strengthening the Kingdom’s energy sovereignty, accelerating decarbonization efforts, and increasing the economy’s resilience to growing climate challenges.

This recognition also reinforces INEE’s vocation to become a strategic partner for public and private stakeholders engaged in reducing their carbon footprint. It embodies the CDG Group’s long-term commitment to the sustainable development of territories and the national energy transition.

A global player in energy performance

Wholly owned by CDG Développement, INEE offers comprehensive expertise in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energies, and decarbonization. Its intervention model covers the entire value chain: audits, financing, engineering, structuring, operation, and real-time monitoring.

Beyond technical aspects, INEE supports its clients in organizational transformation and change management, including in the pursuit of certifications and labels in energy performance. It operates in several key sectors: smart cities, industry, services, logistics, agriculture, and public administration within the framework of the Pact for Exemplarity.

Through this integrated approach, INEE positions itself as a central lever to realize Morocco’s climate and energy ambitions.
