November 19 marks an important celebration for the Kingdom of Morocco, the birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, whose commitments to environmental protection and cultural promotion are widely recognized. As President of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of the Environment, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa embodies a progressive and humanistic vision for a sustainable and radiant Morocco.

A Strong Commitment to the Environment

At COP28, held in Dubai, Her Royal Highness represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI. HRH participated in key events, including the annual high-level meeting of the “Partnership for Green Education,” in collaboration with UNESCO, highlighting her active role in climate education and sustainability.

In parallel, she visited the Moroccan and Emirati pavilions, thereby strengthening international synergies around environmental issues.

Significant Actions for Heritage and Culture

On May 21, 2024, HRH the Princess chaired the Board of Directors of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of the Environment in Fez before inaugurating the historic Lahboul park in Meknes. A few days later, she opened the 27th edition of the Sacred Music Festival of Fez, celebrating the theme “The Quest for the Spirit of Al-Andalus.”

In October, Her Royal Highness made cultural history by presiding over the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix, held for the first time in Africa, and also contributed to initiatives as part of the Qatar-Morocco Cultural Year.

    Bilateral Relations and Cultural Diplomacy

October 29 was an exceptional day. HRH the Princess, alongside Mrs. Brigitte Macron, inaugurated the Royal Theater of Rabat and visited the Botanical Trials Garden. On the same day, she attended a royal dinner in honor of President Emmanuel Macron, strengthening bilateral relations between Morocco and France.

A few days later, in Doha, she inaugurated the Moroccan pavilion “Dar Al Maghrib” and explored exhibitions highlighting Moroccan heritage.

    An Inspirational Model

Through her multiple commitments, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa embodies a model of excellence and selflessness. Her actions, both in Morocco and internationally, illustrate a constant desire to preserve the environment while promoting the cultural values of the Kingdom.

This past year reflects a wealth of initiatives that continue to enhance Morocco’s radiance and inspire future generations.
