The Institute for Research in Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN) recently welcomed HIF Global for an exclusive refueling of a Porsche vehicle with green fuel. This significant event took place during a large-scale E-FUELS conference, bringing together nearly 400 key players in the green hydrogen value chain.

Organized by the Green H2 Cluster, this gathering took place on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Marina of Rabat. It addressed essential themes for the future of clean energy, with a particular focus on E-Fuels. Discussions covered crucial topics such as the current and future market for e-methanol and e-fuels, technological innovations in the sector, industrial applications, regulatory policies, and examples of E-Fuels ecosystems.

This collaboration is part of a successful first visit by HIF Global and Porsche AG to IRESEN, where both parties discussed the future of clean energy and the potential of eFuels in Morocco. Together, they explored avenues for cooperation in the field of eFuels in the Kingdom.

Refueling vehicles with green fuel, derived from green hydrogen and recycled CO2, represents not only a significant technological advancement but also a strong symbol of the shared commitment to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and promote a cleaner energy future. The use of eFuel produced by HIF demonstrates the capabilities and potential of green fuels for more environmentally friendly mobility in Morocco.

This exclusive refueling highlights the concerted efforts of IRESEN and HIF Global to promote green fuels and support the transition to sustainable energy solutions. By demonstrating the effectiveness and benefits of eFuels, this event underscores the importance of innovation and collaboration in the fight against climate change and environmental protection.

The initiative by IRESEN and HIF Global marks an important milestone in the development of renewable energies in Morocco, strengthening the country’s position as a leader in the field of green hydrogen and sustainable fuels. The success of this collaboration paves the way for new opportunities to integrate eFuels into the mobility and industrial sectors, thereby contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.
