From November 4 to 7, Rimini will host the 28th edition of the International Green Economy Exhibition, Ecomondo 2025. Spanning over 166,000 square meters, the event will bring together businesses, researchers, and institutions around circular, green, and blue economies, featuring more than 100 conferences on the agenda.
A Scientific and Strategic Agenda
The Technical and Scientific Committee, chaired by Professor Fabio Fava, has designed a program that addresses all major challenges of the ecological transition. Highlights include:
- The General States of Soil Health, which will assess European policies on bioeconomy and soil regeneration.
- A conference on Earth observation and the use of satellite data to better manage environmental impact and critical raw materials.
- Discussions on circular economy and technologies for recovering resources from end-of-life products.
- Sessions on water management and innovative solutions, combining natural, digital, and cyber-physical approaches in Europe and the Mediterranean.
- A focus on regenerative bioeconomy, particularly the role of youth, entrepreneurship, and opportunities for Africa and the Mediterranean basin.
Africa and the Mediterranean at the Heart of Discussions
The 2025 edition will see the return of the Africa Green Growth Forum, dedicated to international cooperation and partnerships with Africa. Issues of youth, sustainable employment, and food security will be central.
A Major Political Event
On November 4 and 5, the General States of the Green Economy will also take place, organized in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of the Environment and supported by the Foundation for Sustainable Development. The aim is to generate concrete proposals on decarbonization, sustainable resource management, and urban mobility.
As a leading event for the green economy in Europe and the Mediterranean basin, Ecomondo 2025 exemplifies the growing role of regional cooperation in combating climate change and transitioning to more sustainable economic models.
