Chinese manufacturer Goldwind Technology has announced the signing of a major contract for the supply and installation of wind turbines in Morocco, in partnership with Wind Energy of Morocco (EEM), which has recently joined the Emirati group AMEA Power.
Under this agreement, Goldwind International Holdings (Hong Kong) Limited and its Moroccan subsidiary Goldwind Morocco will act as joint suppliers. Goldwind International will handle the supply of the units, their port centralization in China, and maritime transport to Morocco. Goldwind Morocco will manage the reception of shipments, domestic transport, installation, lifting, commissioning, as well as operation and maintenance of the wind turbines, with a availability guarantee.
The contract, accompanied by a guarantee agreement signed with EEM, covers a total amount of $29.56 million (approximately 2.1 billion dirhams). The distribution allocates $25.42 million for Goldwind International and $4.14 million for Goldwind Morocco. The guarantee remains valid until both companies fully meet their obligations.
This operation is part of AMEA Power‘s strategy to strengthen its presence in Morocco, particularly in Laâyoune in partnership with the Ynna Group, and to support the kingdom’s ambitions regarding energy sovereignty and transition to renewable energies.
