Moroccan Fruit Board begins its export campaign for 2025/26 with a clear ambition: to provide the fruit and vegetable sector with a stronger, more diverse, and significantly more sustainable logistics tool. This new season marks a turning point, featuring the launch of strategic maritime routes and the integration of connected equipment that redefines standards of reliability and traceability.

A major lever in this initiative is the expansion of the maritime network. Taking advantage of strengthened partnerships with CMA-CGM, SAMSKIP, and DP World, MFB is establishing direct connections between Morocco, Northern Europe, and the United Kingdom. Casablanca and Agadir are now linked in just five days, a timeframe that offers a competitive alternative to road transport and better secures flows against border-related uncertainties.

In the same vein, MFB positions the Moroccan sector on a more ambitious transatlantic axis. A dedicated maritime link to Canada now connects the Kingdom with Quebec and Ontario in two weeks. This service, developed with CMA CGM and complementing existing operators such as Maersk, MSC, and Hapag-Lloyd, opens new doors for exporters wishing to establish a stronger presence in North American markets.

This rise in capabilities is accompanied by a clear technological shift. All shipments now rely on smart containers equipped with IoT sensors, allowing real-time monitoring of temperature, humidity, CO₂, and location. This data is transmitted via FreshTrack, MFB’s digital platform, which provides complete visibility of the cold chain and strengthens quality guarantees upon arrival.

Sustainability is also a key focus. By progressively developing maritime routes to Northern Europe and the United Kingdom, MFB aims for a reduction of nearly 70% in CO₂ emissions along these corridors. On a weekly basis, these optimizations would represent a savings of about 800 tons of CO₂, a strong signal in a sector where environmental requirements are gaining increasing weight.

As a key player in the export sector, Moroccan Fruit Board confirms its role as a catalyst between innovation, performance, and sustainability. Through FreshTrack, Moroccan logistics takes a further step forward, integrating IoT, blockchain, and AI into a collaborative platform designed to modernize the entire supply chain.

With this 2025/26 campaign, MFB is not just optimizing what exists: the organization is laying the groundwork for a more resilient logistics model, better connected to international markets and aligned with the environmental imperatives of tomorrow.
