This growth is particularly driven by the strengthening of private electricity production (+7.7%) and that of the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) (+7.2%), alongside a 45.1% increase in contributions from national third parties, as stated by the DEPF in its recent economic note.

Regarding net energy consumption, it increased by 7.5% by the end of October 2025, reaching a record level not seen in the past twelve years, following a rise of 3.6% the previous year.

In this context, the imported volume of electric energy rose by 26.2% during the first ten months of 2025, after an increase of 32.2% the year before.

Conversely, the exported volume decreased by 30.9%, following a drop of 32.8% a year earlier.
