    Dakhla: the Akdital Foundation launches a large-scale local medical campaign.

    The Akdital Foundation is deploying a series of medical caravans in the twelve regions of Morocco, with the launch taking place in the Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region. The objective: to improve access to specialized care for vulnerable populations through targeted screening and awareness campaigns, particularly against non-communicable diseases.

    The first phase, organized from May 30 to June 1 at the Al Wahda health center, mobilized 56 health professionals in specialties such as ophthalmology, cardiology, and oncology. At the end of this operation, 653 consultations, 332 laboratory tests, and 580 specialized examinations were conducted.

    The program continues in July with interventions in several neighborhoods of the city, including Essalam, Al Massira, Ghofran, Al Amal, and Al Mountazah, before expanding to Bir Gandouz and the industrial areas of the region.

    Equipped with two specialized mobile medical units, the caravan allows for advanced examinations such as mammograms, cardiac ultrasounds, ECGs, and biological analyses. These devices contribute to the early detection of chronic diseases and the prevention of blindness.

    The Akdital Foundation commends the mobilization of its teams and institutional partners, including the Ministry of Health, local authorities, and numerous health professionals, praising a collective effort in favor of the populations of the southern provinces.
