Bel Cheese Morocco has just received the CSR label from the CGEM, a distinction that recognizes the company’s structured commitment to social, societal, and environmental responsibility. This recognition follows a thorough audit conducted by the General Confederation of Enterprises of Morocco (CGEM), which evaluates companies’ practices at the national level.

This labeling is not a coincidence: it is part of the ongoing commitments of the Bel Group, which became a mission-driven company in 2024. Through its subsidiaries, the group aims to build a sustainable and inclusive food model, in line with its values of responsibility and social innovation.

A strategy based on concrete actions

In Morocco, Bel Cheese implements a CSR policy centered around four priorities: reducing environmental footprint, supporting local communities, product safety and quality, and responsibility across the entire value chain.

    Among the emblematic initiatives:

    • The biomass boiler at the industrial site, which significantly reduces CO₂ emissions.
    • The “La Vache qui rit® For Good” program, which redistributes a portion of sales in the form of food donations.
    • Tafawouk, a school support program for the children of partner retailers, extending the social initiative Inaya.

All these actions reflect a strong local commitment to a more inclusive economy and a more sustainable food system.

A player rooted for over 40 years

Present in Morocco for several decades, Bel Cheese Morocco benefits from a solid territorial anchorage and relies on sustainable partnerships as well as a committed local team. The company is also certified according to the highest international standards: ISO 22000, ISO 45001, FSSC 22000, ISO 50001.

With this CSR label, Bel Cheese Morocco strengthens its continuous improvement approach, perfectly aligned with the Kingdom’s major orientations regarding sustainable development, food sovereignty, and social progress.
