On the occasion of the International Agricultural Show in Morocco (SIAM 2025), the Agricultural Credit of Morocco (CAM) and the company TOURBA, a subsidiary of INNOVX, have formalized a strategic partnership aimed at promoting regenerative agriculture. This partnership, sealed in Meknès in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Ahmed El Bouari, and the Chairman of the Board of CAM, Mohamed Fikrat, reflects a shared commitment to encourage environmentally friendly agricultural practices that are resilient to climate change.

At the heart of this agreement is the financial support for farmers to acquire seeders dedicated to direct sowing, a key technique in conservation agriculture. This cultivation method helps preserve soils, reduce erosion, limit water use, and improve the carbon balance of farms. This initiative is part of the CAM’s “ISTIDAMA” program, dedicated to sustainable development in the agricultural world.

The partnership aims to support around 300 farmers in accessing this equipment through a preferential credit mechanism, thus facilitating the transition to more sustainable agricultural models. The financing model established is based on an equitable sharing of investments, making these technologies accessible to many operators, particularly in rural areas.

Regenerative agriculture, as supported by this program, revolves around three pillars: direct sowing, crop rotation, and responsible management of residues. These methods provide concrete solutions to address sustainability challenges while maintaining competitive yields and ensuring better management of natural resources.

During the signing ceremony, Nabil Salmi, Deputy General Director of CAM, emphasized the importance of this agreement in the group’s public service mission. “We remain fully committed to supporting farmers in adopting innovative and sustainable practices. This is how we contribute to a greener, more inclusive, and economically viable agriculture,” he stated.

SIAM 2025, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, hosts this year more than 1,500 exhibitors from 70 countries. Dedicated to the theme “Agriculture and the Rural World: Water at the Heart of Sustainable Development,” the event serves as a major platform for international exchanges, showcasing concrete solutions and networking among stakeholders engaged in the future of the agricultural sector.
