The sustainable commitment of the OCP Group to renewable energies was highlighted in Toronto (Ontario) during the annual congress of the Canadian Association of Prospectors and Developers (ACPE).

Speaking on Monday at this meeting, Mr. Adnane El Ktiri, senior financial analyst at OCP, emphasized the group’s investment program, which aims to increase fertilizer production capacity while committing to achieving carbon neutrality by 2040.

These investments will allow the OCP Group, the world’s largest producer of phosphate-based fertilizers, to become self-sufficient in green ammonia supply and renewable energy, the analyst stated.

Present on five continents, OCP invests in renewable energies and sustainable water management, Mr. El Ktiri noted, adding that OCP aims to operate all its industrial facilities on green energy by 2027.

He also reported on strategic projects undertaken by the group that will ultimately enhance green hydrogen and ammonia production capacities.
