Now representing a competitiveness challenge for Moroccan companies, the transition to a sustainable economy occupies a central place in the support provided by BANK OF AFRICA for SMEs and Corporates. Indeed, drawing on more than a decade of expertise, BANK OF AFRICA positions itself today as the preferred partner for Moroccan companies in their sustainable transition efforts.

To this end, BANK OF AFRICA strengthens its sustainable finance program, a strategic lever to meet increasing environmental and societal demands, based on three key themes for Moroccan companies: Energy efficiency, Water usage management, and Circular economy.

A long-standing commitment to support the transition of companies

BANK OF AFRICA has been a pioneering bank in the field of sustainable finance in Morocco. Since 2012, the bank has launched a series of initiatives aimed at facilitating the integration of sustainable practices within companies, with financing solutions tailored to their needs. Among the flagship products are financings such as BOA ENERGICO (2012), Cap Energie I (2015), Green INVEST (2019), and Cap Industrie Verte (2022).

An awareness campaign to engage companies

By demonstrating the concrete advantages of sustainable financing, as well as the potential gains for Moroccan companies in their quest for foreign markets and strengthening their position in the domestic market, BANK OF AFRICA’s awareness campaign will engage companies on sustainability issues and encourage them to seek information and advice for their sustainable projects.

    Tailored solutions for each company

BANK OF AFRICA stands out with its turnkey approach, offering its clients a combination of advice and financing, tailored to the specific needs of each project. Whether to improve energy efficiency, reduce water consumption, or optimize waste management, the bank offers customized solutions to integrate sustainability into the growth strategy of companies.

A high-performing sustainability ecosystem, supported by leading partners

To enhance the impact of its actions, BANK OF AFRICA has developed a powerful ecosystem of partners, including institutions such as Maroc PME, TAMWILCOM, and leading multilateral development institutions. These collaborations enable the bank to offer a comprehensive and coherent range of services while actively contributing to the emergence of a green and responsible economy in Morocco.

    Continuous strengthening of advisor expertise

Through BANK OF AFRICA Academy, the bank has established, in partnership with Bureau Veritas, a certifying training program for its sales force. This initiative is part of the overall strategy to strengthen skills and operational excellence, with the ambition of best supporting companies, particularly SMEs, in their low-carbon transition.

The future of responsible finance in Morocco

In a rapidly changing banking sector, BANK OF AFRICA positions itself as a major player in sustainable finance, enhancing its positive impact within the national productive fabric and among its stakeholders. Through its commitment, the bank contributes to the growth of a sustainable economy in Morocco and supports companies in realizing projects that benefit the environment and society.
