The National Agency for Water and Forests (ANEF) and EUCAFOREST, a subsidiary of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) Group, have signed a collaboration agreement in research and development dedicated to forest plantations. Signed on March 7, this agreement aims to modernize and optimize forestry practices in a spirit of innovation and sustainability.

**A strategic partnership for more resilient forests**

The agreement was signed by **Mr. Amar Rabhi**, Head of the Innovation, Research and Training Center of ANEF, and **Mr. Sghir Boulahfa**, General Director of EUCAFOREST, in the presence of **Mr. Khalid Safir**, General Director of CDG, and **Mr. Abderrahim Houmy**, General Director of ANEF.

Falling under the **”Forests of Morocco 2020-2030″ Strategy**, initiated under the impetus of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this collaboration aims to strengthen the sustainable management of Moroccan forests and address the challenges of climate change.

**Innovation and sustainability at the heart of the project**

Through this initiative, ANEF and EUCAFOREST aim to:

    – Develop innovative forestry technologies,
    – Improve the varietal selection of forest species,
    – Optimize technical routes for better productivity,
    – Enhance wood resources while integrating environmental imperatives.

This strategic alliance marks a significant advance in the **restoration of natural ecosystems, the fight against desertification, and adaptation to climate challenges**.

**A strengthened commitment to a green economy**

By partnering with EUCAFOREST, ANEF reaffirms its commitment to sustainable and inclusive forest management, relying on the expertise of its institutional partners. For its part, the CDG Group consolidates its role as a **key partner in sustainable development**, supporting initiatives aimed at preserving Morocco’s natural capital and fostering the emergence of a **green and resilient economy**.

With this agreement, ANEF and EUCAFOREST pave the way for **innovative and responsible forestry**, serving future generations.
