The city of Al Hoceima will host the second edition of the International Conference on Sciences and Techniques for Renewable Energies and the Environment (STR2E 2026) from April 28 to 30. The event is organized by the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques of Al Hoceima, in partnership with the Moroccan Association of Sciences and Techniques for Sustainable Development.

This scientific gathering aims to create a space for exchange among students, researchers, and academics, both Moroccan and foreign, regarding major issues related to energy transition and environmental protection. It also seeks to foster the sharing of experiences, research findings, and best practices in constantly evolving fields.

Adopting a multidisciplinary approach, the conference intends to contribute to the development of knowledge and the enhancement of scientific and technological advances related to renewable energies, energy efficiency, and environmental preservation systems. The presented works will cover various topics, ranging from technical innovations to integrated approaches for sustainable resource management.

Over three days, experts and researchers will present their work through plenary sessions and scientific communications, highlighting emerging technologies and innovative solutions to contemporary energy and environmental challenges.

The event is also designed as a privileged platform for young researchers and doctoral candidates, who will be encouraged to showcase their research, confront their methodologies, and benefit from feedback from established experts. Through this dynamic, the organizers aim to strengthen scientific dialogue and encourage the emergence of new avenues of thought that are adapted to current economic, social, and environmental realities.

With this second edition, Al Hoceima is positioning itself as a hub for scientific debate on the issues of energy transition and sustainable development, in a global context marked by climate urgency and the need to accelerate the adoption of clean and resilient energy solutions.
