The Green Economy Fair “ECOMONDO 2025,” set to take place from November 4 to 7 at the Rimini Exhibition Center in Italy, is making a significant advancement by solidifying its global dimension and reaffirming its status as a reference hub for professionals, businesses, and institutions involved in the green, blue, and circular economies.

The conference program serves as a true “international think tank,” featuring over 200 speeches and workshops in which more than 800 experts will participate, according to a statement from the organizers.

Discussions will focus on crucial topics such as digitalization, combating climate change, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, as well as collaboration and funding programs for the green economy.

Attention will also be given to eco-design, waste prevention practices, and regenerative practices, offering a comprehensive and up-to-date program for anyone looking to effectively manage and lead the ecological transition.

This 28th edition of the event, organized by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), will showcase technological solutions for resource recovery from end-of-life products and materials in the Mediterranean region, along with European and Mediterranean projects promoting nature-based digital and cyber-physical initiatives for innovative water management.

The international plenary session of the Green Economy General States will assess the green economy within the new global context. It is organized by the Foundation for Sustainable Development in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security and promoted by the National Council for the Green Economy.

Discussions on the future of the bio-economy will address tools, standards, and policies to accelerate the transition, while the “Green Growth in Africa” Forum will take place under the theme “The Mattei Plan: Dialogue between Institutions and the Private Sector for Sustainable Development in Africa.” This forum is organized by Ecomondo with participation from the task force implementing the Mattei Plan from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, as well as by Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo and RES4Africa. Contributions from national and international institutional representatives are expected, alongside the participation of representatives from African countries, businesses, and financial institutions.

Ecomondo 2025 is organized by the Italian Exhibition Group in collaboration with the European Commission, the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, the Ministry of Businesses and Made in Italy, the Italian Trade and Investment Agency, the Emilia-Romagna Region, the city of Rimini, the National Association of Italian Municipalities, the National Association of the Automotive Industry, the Foundation for Sustainable Development, and the European Environment Agency.
