The American specialist in onboard service equipment, Global Inflight Products, has announced the opening of a new manufacturing unit in Morocco dedicated to the production of compostable products, primarily paper cups and plant fiber cutlery. This decision is part of a strategy that combines sustainability, innovation, and logistical optimization.

This establishment responds to a dual logic. On one hand, global demand for environmentally friendly solutions continues to grow, particularly in the aviation sector. On the other hand, the favorable framework of the Morocco-U.S. Free Trade Agreement (MAFTA) allows the company to benefit from easier access to the North American market without customs duties for nearly all of its production.

Global Inflight Products anticipates a monthly production of 40 million cups and 20 million sets of eco-friendly cutlery within eight months of the factory’s startup. This industrial volume aims to ensure reliable supplies while maintaining consistent quality and controlled costs—two crucial criteria for airlines.

By becoming 100% owner of this Moroccan site, the company strengthens its positioning in the global biodegradable solutions sector and confirms its commitment to a circular economy. It plans to leverage the local industrial and logistical ecosystem to accelerate its growth in international markets while contributing to the rise of Green Made in Morocco.
