The National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) is entering a new phase of structural modernization. To this end, it has just mandated a heavyweight duo: **McKinsey & Company Inc. – Ernst & Young**, major figures in strategy consulting and institutional transformation.

**A strategic project with significant national stakes**

This partnership is part of the High Orientations of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, calling for a thorough overhaul of the public sector. The stated objective is to inject new dynamism within ONEE, in line with the ambitions of the state shareholder: to strengthen the performance of strategic institutions, develop key sectors of the economy, and consolidate an approach based on **resilience, innovation, and sustainability**.

**A comprehensive reform with multiple dimensions**

The mission entrusted to the McKinsey – EY tandem focuses on the **organizational restructuring** of the Office, as well as the establishment of a more agile, more efficient governance model that aligns with international best practices. The ambition is clear: to elevate ONEE to the rank of excellent public institutions.

**First results expected in the coming months**

The first recommendations from this strategic mission are expected in the coming months. They should lay the groundwork for a profound transformation of the Office, in line with the imperatives of **energy and water transition**, as well as the requirements of **sustainable socio-economic development**.
