    ONEE announces the commissioning of the power supply line for the Nador West Med port complex.

    As part of the strategic electrical supply project for the Nador West Med (NWM) port complex, the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) has successfully energized the first 225 kV line connecting the 225/60 kV substation in Selouane to the Nador West Med site.

    With a length of 31 kilometers, this high-voltage line is a crucial link in the main electrical supply system for the new Nador West Med port, ONEE stated in a press release.

    Its implementation mobilized significant human and technical resources, as well as effective support from local authorities, which allowed the project to be completed within the set deadlines, the same source explained.

    This new line will supply the AEOLON wind turbine blade manufacturing plant, the first industrial facility to be established at the NWM Port, and is part of a broader electrical supply project for the port complex, led by ONEE.

    These infrastructures will sustainably meet the electrical energy needs of both the port complex and future industries that will settle there, thus serving as a major lever for the economic development of the Eastern region and the Kingdom, the press release noted.
