    Heat wave with chergui from Wednesday to Monday in several provinces (alert bulletin)

    A heat wave with chergui is expected from Wednesday to Monday in several provinces of the Kingdom, with temperatures ranging between 33 and 46°C, announced the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) in an alert bulletin.

    Thus, temperatures varying between 40 and 45°C will affect, on Wednesday, the provinces of Zagora, Tata, Assa-Zag, Es-Smara, Boujdour, Aousserd, and Oued Ed-Dahab, the DGM specified in this orange-level alert bulletin.

    On Thursday, temperatures will range between 40 and 45°C in the provinces of Tata, Taroudant, Zagora, El Kalaâ des Sraghna, Marrakech, Rehamna, Béni Melal, Fquih Ben Salah, Aousserd, Oued Ed-Dahab, Boujdour, Assa-Zag, Es-Smara, and Guelmim.

    From Friday to Monday, the provinces of Chichaoua, El Kalaâ des Sraghna, Marrakech, Rehamna, Khemisset, Youssoufia, Fquih Ben Salah, Larache, Ouezzane, Béni Melal, Aousserd, Oued Ed-Dahab, Boujdour, Assa-Zag, Es-Smara, Tata, Taroudant, Zagora, Kénitra, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, and Settat will experience temperatures ranging between 42 and 46°C, it is specified.

    Moreover, temperatures from 38 to 42°C are expected during the same period in the provinces of Berrechid, Essaouira, Mediouna, Nouaceur, Khouribga, Salé, Skhirate-Témara, Safi, Sidi Bennour, Meknès, Fès, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Guelmim, Tan-Tan, and Benslimane, adds the DGM, which also forecasts temperatures ranging from 33 to 38°C in the provinces of Khenifra, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Inzedgane-Ait Melloul, Sidi Ifni, Tiznit, Casablanca, Mohammedia, Rabat, El Jadida, Al Haouz, Azilal, and El Hajeb.
