    Energy Revolution Ventures closes an $18 million fund for breakthrough energy technologies, with the support of OCP.

    Energy Revolution Ventures (ERV), a venture capital fund specializing in energy innovations, has completed the raising of 18 million dollars for its fund dedicated to breakthrough technologies in the energy sector. This fund focuses on deeptech companies providing innovative solutions to major scientific and engineering challenges.

    **Investment Objectives and Priorities**

    The fund aims to identify and support technologies that profoundly transform energy systems, particularly in the following areas:

    – **Energy storage.**
    – **Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS).**
    – **Value chains for renewable fuels and hydrogen.**

    The goal is to propel highly scalable innovations and address global energy challenges while generating substantial financial returns.

    **Key Partners and Strategic Support**

    The fund benefits from the support of family offices specialized in the metals and energy sectors, as well as Bidra Innovation Ventures, the venture capital arm of OCP. This participation strengthens Morocco’s strategic role in promoting energy transition technologies.

    **Investments Made**

    ERV has already invested in nine pioneering companies, including:

    – **Green Li-ion**: a specialist in lithium-ion battery recycling.
    – **Anthro**: designer of safe structural batteries.
    – **Oort Energy**: developer of low-cost renewable hydrogen solutions.

    **A Vision Driven by Electrification**

    Marcus Clover, co-founder and partner of ERV, emphasized the importance of this transformation:

    “ The dramatic drop in renewable energy costs fuels one of the deepest economic revolutions of our time. Electrification is the key to a future of energy abundance, and the companies we support play a crucial role in this transition.”

    This fund marks a major advance in the quest for a sustainable and innovative global energy transition.
