Morocco is positioning itself further as a regional hub for electric mobility thanks to a new agreement signed between the American manufacturer Cenntro and the Moroccan company Electricove. The latter, specialized in the distribution of electric vehicles and based in Casablanca, will now locally assemble several models from the American brand, intended for the Moroccan market and North Africa.
The industrial partnership stipulates that Cenntro will provide Electricove with assembly kits for its vehicles, including the utility models Teemak and LS450. For its part, Electricove commits to installing an assembly unit on Moroccan soil and managing operational production. This industrial transfer is accompanied by comprehensive technical documentation, assembly training sessions, and engineering support to build solid local expertise.
Peter Wang, CEO of Cenntro, emphasizes that this collaboration is based on a long-standing relationship between the two companies. “The cooperation with Electricove Morocco strengthens a proven partnership and marks a key step in sustainably implanting our vehicles in this region of the world,” he stated. He also stressed the importance of the technical support provided to Electricove to launch this activity.
Based in the United States, Cenntro is recognized for its electric utility vehicles (EUVs) designed for professional use. Its range covers classes 1 to 4, incorporating advanced technologies in batteries, drivetrains, and intelligent driving systems. The company is currently developing an international industrial network to accelerate its establishment in various markets.
On the Moroccan side, this project has been positively received by the authorities as well as by several economic players, reinforcing the local dynamic of transport electrification and the desire to develop a national industrial sector around electric vehicles.
With this partnership, Morocco takes a new step towards consolidating its sustainable mobility ecosystem, combining local know-how and international expertise.
