The Al Omrane Group is embarking on a comprehensive overhaul of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy. The public holding company is preparing to launch a structural mission aimed at updating its framework to align with international standards in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and national sustainable development priorities.
The goal is to fully integrate environmental, social, and governance issues into its land development and housing production activities through a 2030 roadmap accompanied by an operational action plan and enhanced management mechanisms.
### Alignment with International Frameworks
The strategic revision will include alignment with several key references, including ISO 26000, GRI standards, and IFRS S1 and S2 standards. It will also ensure coherence with national guidelines, including the National Sustainable Development Strategy 2016-2030, Law 99-12 related to the National Charter for the Environment, the State Exemplarity Plan, and the directives of the National Agency for the Strategic Management of State Holdings (ANGSPE).
Beyond regulatory alignment, the Group aims for a tangible integration of sustainability into its operational activities, with particular attention to the environmental dimension, considering the structural impact of development and construction projects on natural resources, land, and climate.
### A Structured Approach in Several Phases
The mission will unfold in several stages.
The first phase will entail framing the strategic and organizational scope, identifying stakeholders, and defining management modalities.
The second phase will focus on an in-depth diagnosis of the Group’s current CSR and ESG status. This analysis will rely on existing policy reviews, sector benchmarks, and extensive consultations with central management, regional subsidiaries, and institutional partners. It will culminate in the development of a materiality matrix that prioritizes key issues, along with an analysis of risks and opportunities related to the Group’s activities.
### A 2030 Roadmap and a Five-Year Action Plan
Based on this diagnosis, Al Omrane will define an integrated CSR strategy targeting 2030. This strategy will formalize a sustainability vision aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and establish measurable commitments.
Focus areas will include governance and transparency, environmental and energy performance, innovation, circular economy, and social dimensions related to territorial inclusion and human capital.
The strategy will be translated into a five-year operational action plan, complemented by ESG performance indicators. Particular attention will be given to environmental indicators, such as energy consumption, water and material management, carbon footprint, waste management, and mobility.
Detailed project briefs will outline objectives, resources mobilized, and timelines for each priority action.
Through this overhaul, the Al Omrane Group aims to position CSR as a structural lever for creating sustainable value and to strengthen its role in implementing public housing and land development policies.
