The precipitation recorded over the last 24 hours has had a positive impact on the water reserves of several dams across the Kingdom. Multiple provinces, including Errachidia, Tétouan, Ouarzazate, Kenitra, and Settat, have noted a significant increase in stored water volumes, indicating a gradual improvement in the national water situation.
In Errachidia province, the Al Hassan Addakhil dam benefited from an additional supply of 5.25 million cubic meters, bringing its filling rate to 69.7%. This development represents a significant enhancement of water resources in the area. The Kadoussa dam, also in the same province, recorded an increase of approximately 1.95 million cubic meters, with its filling rate reaching 36.7%.
In Tétouan, the Charif Al Idrissi dam saw its reserves rise by 2.28 million cubic meters, bringing its filling rate to 84.6%, a high level that significantly improves the water situation in the region.
In Ouarzazate province, the El Mansour Eddahbi dam recorded an influx of 0.77 million cubic meters, resulting in a filling rate of 39.2%, contributing to the support of local resources.
In Kenitra, the El Manaa Sebou dam experienced an increase of 1.28 million cubic meters, with its filling rate now established at 69.7%.
Finally, in Settat province, the Daourat dam recorded an increase of 1.31 million cubic meters, bringing its filling rate to 92.1%, one of the highest levels observed recently.
This improvement in water reserves, also seen in other regions like Taroudant, Essaouira, and Chichaoua, is an encouraging sign after a long period marked by rainfall deficits, although the situation remains to be monitored in the context of ongoing water stress.
