On the occasion of its 13th anniversary, Mondelez Morocco celebrated its traditional Purpose Day on October 13 in Casablanca, an event that has now become a firm fixture in the company’s culture. This day, dedicated to civic engagement, brought together nearly 70 employees for a solidarity initiative benefiting the youth of the New Generation Second Chance School in Ben Msik, in partnership with the organization L’Heure Joyeuse.

Collective Energy in Service of Youth

Under the theme “Empower our Future,” this new edition continues the “Changemakers” program, which aims to encourage employees to become agents of change. In total, nearly 600 hours of work were dedicated to concrete field actions.

The employees, organized into teams, participated in various workshops combining creativity, learning, and solidarity: beautifying premises, mural painting, gardening, communal cooking, waste sorting, professional coaching sessions, and training on life skills. This serves as a splendid illustration of the company’s philosophy: “Snacking Made Right,” or how to do things properly—including for the community.

    Commitment Beyond the Symbolic

For Salma Louah, head of institutional and governmental affairs at Mondelez Morocco, this mobilization reflects a true corporate culture:

“Seeing our employees engage with such energy is an immense source of pride. These hours offered are not just a number: they symbolize a deep collective commitment and a tangible impact that we wish to sustain alongside our partners.”

A Sustainable Partnership with L’Heure Joyeuse

The action carried out in Ben Msik is part of a long-term relationship between Mondelez Morocco and L’Heure Joyeuse. Together, they work towards the development and inclusion of Moroccan youth through programs blending education, employability, and civic engagement.

A Company Committed to Positive Impact

Since its establishment in Morocco in 2001, Mondelez Morocco—a subsidiary of the international group Mondelez International, known for its iconic brands such as Oreo, Milka, LU, Bimo, and Trident—has stood out for its social and community engagement. The company, which employs around 1,000 staff in Casablanca, aims to continue and amplify its initiatives for a more inclusive, supportive, and sustainable future.

Through its Changemakers program, Mondelez Morocco reaffirms a simple yet essential conviction: sustainable change begins with individual commitment, serving the collective.
