On June 26 and 27, 2025, Tangier hosted the 3rd edition of the “RSE Now” congress, orchestrated by the Club des Dirigeants (CDD), making the city the Moroccan capital of sustainability. This major event brought together experts, economic and institutional decision-makers around the crucial issues of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and decarbonization, in line with the new national development model and the 2020-2030 climate plan.

In front of an audience composed of economic and institutional actors, the speakers emphasized the central role of CSR in the competitiveness and innovation of companies. In 2025, integrating social, environmental, and ethical dimensions is no longer an option but a strategic necessity, under penalty of seeing companies excluded from the market, losing funding, or distancing themselves from young talent.

Radia Cheikh Lahlou, CSR advisor, highlighted this paradigm shift: “The company is no longer just a profit engine. It is now committed to its employees, its partners, and its environment.” This transition from traditional shareholder-centered capitalism to a model more oriented towards stakeholders comes with concrete consequences: multinationals have already ceased their relationships with Moroccan suppliers that do not meet CSR standards.

Discussions also focused on technological and industrial levers such as Industry 4.0 and artificial intelligence, which can catalyze sustainable performance and reduce carbon emissions. This annual meeting confirms the growing importance of CSR as a driver of Morocco’s economic transformation towards sustainable and responsible development.
