Predator Oil & Gas Holdings Plc, a British company listed on the London Stock Exchange, is intensifying its strategy in Morocco with a series of initiatives that confirm the growing importance of the Kingdom in its international development. Between production tests on the MOU-3 well, helium exploration in Guercif, and interest in a national gas infrastructure project, the company is outlining the contours of a long-term commitment to the Moroccan energy sector.

The MOU-3 well, located in the Guercif region, will enter a crucial new phase with production tests scheduled for the second quarter of 2025. Two drilling techniques will be used to assess the “A” sand layer, with a focus on rapid monetization of resources. The group also plans to explore the “Ma Sand” layer, which has already been drilled but remains unused, in order to extract additional potential.

At the same time, exploration of helium potential is gaining momentum. Data from the MOU-5 drilling, combined with satellite and geophysical analyses, reveals a real promise surrounding this rare and strategic resource. Traces of helium have been detected in geological fracture zones near MOU-3 and MOU-5, and Predator is actively seeking a partner to support the continuation of the program.

But Predator is not stopping at exploration. The company is also considering participating in a tender launched by Morocco for the creation of gas infrastructure – including storage, regasification, and transport. Drawing on its experience in Ireland with the FSRU “Mag Mell” project, the company intends to propose a model adapted to the Moroccan context. A project that could leverage the strategic location of Guercif, positioned above the Maghreb-Europe gas pipeline.

Outside of Morocco, Predator continues its operations in Trinidad and Tobago, with active drilling in the Bonasse field and a new appraisal well planned to strengthen its presence in this historic oil region.

These various projects, in Morocco and elsewhere, reflect Predator Oil & Gas’s desire to position itself as a key player in the energy market, diversifying its resources and anticipating future infrastructure needs.
