    Morocco-Canada: a strategic partnership for water and the environment

    Morocco and Canada are strengthening their cooperation in the water and environmental sectors, with the ambition of extending this collaboration across the entire African continent. Cheryl Urban, Canadian Deputy Minister for Africa and Global Affairs, stated this during her meeting with Nizar Baraka, Moroccan Minister of Equipment and Water.

    ### Sharing Expertise and Technological Innovation

    This visit has helped to consolidate the strategic partnership between the two countries, focusing on the exchange of expertise and technological innovation. Cheryl Urban highlighted the many collaboration opportunities for more effective water resource management and addressing environmental challenges.

    ### Moroccan Experience in Water Policy

    Nizar Baraka emphasized the Moroccan approach to sustainable water management, praising the technical support provided by Canada in irrigation and water resource management projects. He also underscored the importance of bilateral exchanges to tackle issues related to climate resilience.

    ### An Expanded Dynamic for Climate Resilience

    This meeting is part of a shared vision to strengthen actions in favor of sustainable development and climate resilience. By combining their efforts, Morocco and Canada aim to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to overcome environmental challenges, not only in Morocco but also across Africa.

    With this strengthened collaboration, both countries confirm their commitment to becoming major players in the fight against environmental and water crises.
